The City of Rochester is seeking proposals from qualified candidates to provide professional environmental consulting cleanup and remediation services for a city-owned Brownfield property located on Reynolds Street in Rochester, New York. The project is part of an initiative with the United States Environment Protection Agency (EPA) and will be funded by both the EPA and the City. The objectives of the project include a comprehensive environmental cleanup of the Site, the closure of the active spill file, as well as the facilitation for future residential reuse. The parcels were acquired via foreclosure and were subsequently combined into a current single approximate 0.2-acre parcel addressed as 121-123 Reynolds Street. Historical information indicates that a portion of the site was once used as a gasoline station and an auto repair facility that included a painting operation. The redevelopment of the site is anticipated to be for residential use, specifically a single duplex or two-family home, in conjunction with the completed Voter’s Block LLC In-fill Housing Initiative. The question deadline for this RFP is March 15, 2019 and responses are due back to the City of Rochester by April 1, 2019.
