The State of Hawaii’s Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC) is seeking qualified and licensed attorneys to provide professional services to the HHFDC for the fiscal year commencing on July 1, 2019. The HHFDC is interested in contracting for legal services in the areas of Real Property (including development, subdivisions, land court petitions, easements, land use conveyances, transactions and permits) and Riparian Rights and Water Law. Attorneys will be evaluated on the following criteria (in descending order of importance): 1. Experience and professional qualifications relevant to this project type. 2. Past performance on projects of similar scope for public agencies or private industry. 3. Capacity to accomplish work in required time. and 4. Any other criteria as determined by the selection committee to be relevant or necessary. Additional considerations include law firm affiliations, legal education, active jurisdictions admitted to practice, range of hourly rates, number of cases handled, previous Special Deputy Attorney General contracts with the State and any potential conflicts of interest.
