The City of Cleveland (the City) and its City Planning Commission are asking for proposals from consulting firms to prepare a Vision Zero Action Plan. The plan will focus on the City’s commitment to systemic change leading to the elimination of traffic fatalities and serious injuries while increasing health, safety, and equitable mobility for all.
There are two major components to the plan that Cleveland seeks:
1. A Citywide Action Strategy to address Vision Zero goals through policy and systems change, especially in data/evaluation, street design/engineering, community education/engagement, enforcement, maintenance, and fleet decisions; and
2. A High Injury Network Action Strategy to address location-specific safety issues on high injury corridors that is grounded in a data- and public-informed process.
Cleveland will host a pre-proposal conference for interested bidders, online via WebEx on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 3:00pm. Attendance is not mandatory, but the City is encouraging proposers to join the web conference if they can. To register for this conference and other information related to this RFP, email Calley Mersmann, City Planning Commission, at email@example.com.
