Overview

The County of Yolo in California is issuing this child services RFP to find qualified firms and consultants to lead, manage, and complete a comprehensive assessment of the Yolo, Sutter and Colusa DCSS (Department of Child Support Services) operations. These three county departments are exploring regionalizing their child support operations. 

The purpose of the bid assessment is primarily to help guide the design and development of a regional model for child support service delivery. Additionally, the model should be efficient, encourage employee engagement and achieve its performance outcomes. Further, the program must meet current funding availability but better serve the children of the three counties in question.

There will be an optional bid conference taking place tomorrow, July 18th at 4:30 PM ET. The deadline for questions is July 19th at 7:00 PM. Proposals are due back to Yolo County by August 2, 2019.

The City of Orem is issuing an RFP for the purchase and installation of (4) Express 250 Chargepoint Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (50 kW) near the Orem City Center campus located at 56 North State Street, Orem, Utah.

All interested bidders must submit bids to include all wire, fittings, signs, breakers, panel upgrades, trenching, directional boring, conduit, excavation, junction boxes, removal and disposal of concrete, concrete flatwork, curb and gutter, asphalt restoration, landscape and sprinkler restoration, direct and indirect labor, completion of all electrical connections, mounting of stations, Express 250 stations, activation costs, concrete mounting kits, bollards, 5 year networking plan and 5 year charge point DC fast charger assure total station care coverage for all 4 charging stations.

City of Pleasanton’s Softball Fieldhouse Renovation RFP

The City of Pleasanton is seeking a qualified bidder to remodel the approximately 3,800-square foot softball fieldhouse and scorekeeper’s booth in the Ken Mercer Sports Park.

The scope of work must include, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of the exterior cladding panels with Trespa siding material, a new metal roofing system, doors, windows, HVAC, interior paint, carpet, bathroom modifications and reconstruction of the four (4) scorekeeper’s booths and related site drainage improvements.

Estimate & Timeline

The engineer’s cost for the renovation bid is $1.2M. Due to the size and scope of the project, the Pleasanton softball complex will be shut down beginning November 2019. The projected completion date is February 2020.

Pleasanton requests that bidders submit three references of work done in the last seven years of similar size and scope. Northern Kentucky University RFP

Northern Kentucky University is issuing an RFP to find a search firm to assist in identifying and selecting an academic dean for the College of Education.

Northern Kentucky University (NKU) is a public university that was founded in 1968. It’s located in Highland Heights, Kentucky and is part of the Cincinnati Metropolitan Region. NKU serves over 15,000 students, of which about 85% are undergraduates.

Students at NKU come from 42 states and 53 countries. As such, the university offers 78 bachelor’s degrees and associate degrees, 23 graduate programs and a Juris Doctor. Further, the university is served by more than 2,000 employees of whom 541 are full-time faculty.

NKU has a satellite campus about 40 miles from the main campus and a corporate training/conference center located near the airport. The university has close ties to the business, government, and non-profit entities in the region as well as to the region’s P-12 and post-secondary schools.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this RFP will have the ability to assist with the preparation of an appropriate vacancy notice, generate a strong pool of highly qualified and interested applicants including minority applicants and support, through technology, the acceptance of credentials as well as the review of those credentials by the search committee. Additionally, other important abilities include advising and supporting the academic dean search committee, specifically the chair, vetting the applicants in the pool and establishing review criteria for the committee members’ evaluation of applicants for the search.

Towards the end of the search, the firm will help the Provost develop an appropriate compensation package and negotiate with the identified candidate.

NKU has the following criteria, listed in priority order for bid evaluation:

  1. Likelihood of producing a successful search
  2. Scope of services
  3. Past effectiveness as indicated in the proposal and by references
  4. Cost effectiveness

Timeline

If your firm can meet the requirements of this bid, questions are due by June 24, 2019. Then, the bid response itself is due by July 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM.
