Dove’s Nest Overview

The Challenge

Dove’s Nest is a local Massachusetts staple. The company, based in New England for decades, has provided early education opportunities for generations of families. When the opportunity to win another Massachusetts bid came up, Dove’s Nest decided to explore their options. It was time to win some new business. So, the early childhood education experts at Dove’s Nest started learning the A-B-Cs of R-F-Ps.

But as always, the RFP requirements were exhaustive and cumbersome. It had been decades since they’d last bid on RFPs. Moreover, an early childhood education organization doesn’t have loads of extra time to learn the art of procurement portal submissions. That’s when Dove’s Nest realized they’d need a helping hand with managing their bid response. As soon as they decided to go online, they knew they’d need assistance to make their response stand out.

The Dove’s Nest Solution

No one understands online submissions like The Bid Lab. As a 100% remote online-based company, we are more than used to working with electronic submissions in a vast array of industries. However, working with small to medium-sized local businesses is our favorite specialty. So, we were ready to do right by Dove’s Nest!

We walked Dove’s Nest through uploading materials to our online repository. Once we had the documents in the cloud, we could start pulling pre-existing content for the response. Conference calls were a breeze, allowing us to get straight to work once we were settled. As work began on their very first electronic bid, we realized we could design new elements to complement that medium.

As our document coordinator built a template and organized content, our in-house designer created new logos and custom org charts. Our writers were able to refresh the company’s pre-existing copy to develop captivating new material meant to excite the evaluators.

We understood that the client’s roots were important to this Massachusetts-based bid. So, we were able to emphasize their local community work over the years. Since Dove’s Nest already knew the community and the market, we were able to develop a winning cost proposal. Once we were ready to finalize, we knew Dove’s Nest had this in their proverbial schoolbag!

Once we clicked the submit button, we could not do anything else but wait…

…just kidding! While we waited for the evaluation, we went ahead and updated their entire content repository. That way, we’d be ready if they wanted to submit a new bid with us in the future. But that didn’t mean we were not on the edge of our seats. Our clients’ wins are important, and we were rooting for a win.

The Results of the Engagement

It can be unusual to win on the first-ever bid submission. While this wasn’t Dove’s Nest’s first bid, it was their first RFP in a long time and their first-ever electronic submission to boot. They were prepared to soak up everything they could from the experience to better their future bids.

And then they won!

As we said, winning the first-ever bid submission can be unusual, but is not uncommon for The Bid Lab. We are pros for a reason: we know how to navigate the bid process. And working with a client as stellar as Dove’s Nest makes these kinds of wins so much sweeter.

So, if Dove’s Nest wants to win more education industry bids in the future, we will be ready to roll out the red carpet.

We learned a great deal about submitting online RFPs, but we love that we did it with The Bid Lab. They are true professionals and a partner to our business in every sense of the word.
