California Highway Patrol Snow and Ice Removal Servies RFP
The Department of California Highway Patrol South Lake Tahoe Area Office is looking for a contractor to provide snow and ice removal services.
Scope of Work
Snow and Ice removal shall include but not be limited to plowing, shoveling, snow hauling, de-icing, ice control and sidewalk clearing.
Prior to the commencement of the winter season, but no later than mid-October, the Contractor will be required to meet with the CHP on-site contact for a pre-service conference.
Service shall be furnished seven (7) days a week during snowy/icy weather. Most plowing and hauling will be performed during early morning hours. Sidewalks and typical paths of travel must be kept free of snow and ice during regular business hours. This excludes State Holidays. In the event of an emergency, The Contractor’s personnel must be available via phone to the CHP On-site Contact twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Miscellaneous work may include but not be limited to:
- Any work utilizing equipment not specifically identified in Exhibit B.
- Tipping fees for snow removal off-site are invoiced at no profit.
