Dalton, Georgia Construction RFP
Project Description
The City of Dalton, Georgia through its Parks and Recreation Department, wishes to replace the existing synthetic turf at Lakeshore Park field, Ron Nix Soccer fields and Broaddus/Durkan Soccer fields with a new synthetic turf. They have released an official construction RFP seeking proposals of qualified firms to provide their services to the City. It is the City’s desire to install quality, long lasting synthetic turf system at these locations to facilitate year-round, daily use.
Construction Requirements
Synthetic Turf Minimum requirements:
- Pile Height: 2” min.
- Face Weight: 50 oz. min.
- Fiber Type: Slit Film & Monofilament
- Shock pad with minimum thickness of 16 mm
- Organic infill topper
Proposal Information
The contractor’s proposal shall include a complete description of the proposed product and installation method including, but not limited to: backing, bedding material, infill material and depth, recommended % compaction of sub-grade material, drainage and edge details. Please note: the product description will be weighed heavily in the evaluation of proposals. The contractors are encouraged to provide as much pertinent information as possible to allow the owner to make a clear evaluation of the proposed system. Installation details and product specifications should be included.

Mandatory Pre-RFP Conference and Site Visit:
October 4th Lakeshore Complex – 2:00 pm
Ron Nix Complex – 2:45 pm
Broaddus/Durkan Complex – 3:15 pm
Deadline for for submission is October 18, 2022.
