The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) seeks third-party Medical Billing and Coding Services. TTUHSC encompasses three regional campuses in Amarillo, Lubbock, and Odessa, Texas, with more than 406 physicians across the three campuses.

Scope of Work

The Contractor must provide accurate Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Codes, International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10-CM) codes, and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) to report and bill for TTUHSC professional services in an ambulatory and inpatient setting, utilizing current American Medical Association (AMA), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership (TMHP), and World Health Organization (WHO) billing and coding guidelines.

The Contractor’s’ adherence to institutional recommended service to posting for medical coding for diagnoses, procedures, and E&M Services, along with improving revenue cycle management through efficient billing and coding practices and enhancing data integrity and quality for reporting and reimbursement purposes, while mitigating potential coding errors and minimizing claim denials.

Furthermore, the Contractor must allow billing and coding compliance and quality assurance audits, online training with Institutional approved web-based video applications, and a minimum of annual Billing and Coding education of contractor-employed staff involved in the provision of coding services for TTUHSC services, as applicable to TTUHSC.
