How The Bid Lab Supported EASE With Response Research

How The Bid Lab Empowered EASE With Response Research & Support

Our creative approach to this program assessment bid helped EASE submit on schedule.

Evaluation and Assessment Solutions for Education (EASE) is an education solutions provider based in Mountain View, California. Pursuing a major contract issued by the State of Washington, the company sought specialized support in both content and design to win more business and expand its reach on the West Coast.

EASE Needed Responsive and Compliant Content

As a first-time client of The Bid Lab, EASE hoped to seize the chance to bid on a new opportunity: a solicitation issued by the State of Washington to evaluate the impact of its Migrant Education Program.

The Bid Lab’s project manager, Jen, explains, “EASE had two goals: they wanted to submit a high-quality, visually appealing bid, and they wanted to expand their content library for future opportunities.”

“EASE saw this project as an opportunity to build a strong proposal content portfolio that would serve as a reliable resource for future bids,” says Jen. “Professionally developed content constructed by proposal experts would enable the company to approach future bids with greater confidence and efficiency.”

Therefore, for this full-service Bid Manager project, our team’s strategy centered on content, content, and more content.

The Development of Creative, Researched Copy for EASE

While developing the client’s letter of transmittal and executive summary, we worked closely with the client’s team per usual. We created polished graphics, including a highly detailed organizational chart for the executive summary.

The client especially appreciated that the proposal was not just “black and white text,” but a polished, visually engaging document. “We were particularly impressed with The Bid Lab’s custom graphic design work,” says the Managing Director at EASE, Jesse Foster-Hedrick. “It was exactly what we needed.”

But outside the executive summary, our writer realized that building responsive content (the actual bid!) would require additional research. To create compliant responses that answered the State of Washington’s questions about EASE’s ability to conduct evaluations, our writer needed to switch things up.

“Working with EASE on this bid was such an interesting change of pace,” says Brooke, The Bid Lab’s writer for the project. “With most clients, we usually answer the bid’s questions outright. Here, we needed to address whether the client could conduct the in-depth research to answer the bid’s questions. If they could, then we needed to address how the client would approach conducting the research.”

Our writer worked hand in hand with the client’s team as they tackled each question and approach together. “With Bid Manager projects, I’m normally helping organizations prepare for evaluations. But this was a case where I was helping an organization that conducts evaluations develop evaluation scenarios in a bid that would then be evaluated by the State of Washington! It was a fun, unique challenge. So, I definitely enjoyed working on this one!”

A Collaborative Team Effort in Under Two Weeks’ Time

EASE was “super impressed” with The Bid Lab’s process, organization, and efforts to create and draft compliant content. They also appreciated the added value of professional design and graphics.

“What The Bid Lab delivered was everything we were looking for,” says Jesse Foster-Hedrick. “We really enjoyed working with the project manager and her talented team.”

Upon submission of the 109-page final proposal, The Bid Lab and EASE successfully completed and delivered their first-ever project collaboration in 11 days. In addition, our creative solutions helped to bring the project to a close ahead of the tight deadline.

“We delivered on both fronts,” says Jen. “EASE doesn’t have to worry about creating templated content from scratch. They now have an impressive, visually appealing content library, which will increase the operational efficiency of future bid responses. And should they need us, we’d be thrilled to help them develop content for any future bids as well!”

Adds Brooke, “EASE’s successful experience really shows how The Bid Lab’s comprehensive approach drives client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue growth from the get-go.”
