The City of Phoenix Community and Economic Development Department is seeking a consultant to conduct research on the city to determine the future of the Downtown Redevelopment Area and the Government Mall Redevelopment Area. The Phoenix bid seeks consultant(s) recommending to renew, modify or terminate the development of the aforementioned areas. The ideal candidate(s) will have the ability to attend and participate in meetings with the City and various stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise, in addition to researching, analyzing and providing documentation needed to support a future renewal, modification or termination by the Phoenix City Council of the Downtown Redevelopment Area and the Government Mall Redevelopment Area. The City expects the consultant to begin the initial task associated with the project within two weeks of the contract award. The final timeline with allow for the City Council to have a determination on the development area in place by latest October 1, 2020. The City is allowing for a pre-proposal meeting which will take place on March 6, 2019 and questions are due back March 11, 2019. The proposal deadline is March 22, 2019 so that an award may be given in June 2019.
