Chino, California City Landscape Services RFP
The City of Chino Hills is accepting RFPS for a vendor to provide landscape maintenance services at the City’s Nature Parks. Additionally, the successful vendor will be awarded a contract for a five year period. The proposal must clearly demonstrate how your organization would best satisfy the requirements of the City.
Scope of Work
The City of Chino Hills has a substantial number of parks. Several of the parks are Nature Parks, which basically require regular landscape maintenance. Accordingly, the City is seeking qualified landscape maintenance contractors to provide bids to maintain four specified Nature Park areas:
- Eucalyptus Nature Park
- Hickory Creek Nature Park – excluding the mitigation area*
- Hollow Run Nature Park
- Strickling Nature Park
All Nature Parks will be maintained quarterly, and parks are to remain in a natural state. The City of Chino Hills anticipates upkeep of up to 160 hrs. per year per park. Also, upkeep will include the removal of invasive plants, vines, and trees, including but not limited to, Palms, Figs, Tree of Heaven and Russian Thistle. Additionally, creek areas are to remain clear of plants and/or debris that may impede water flow. Trails and walkways are to be maintained clear of shrubs and trees. Accordingly, tree suckers and volunteer trees will be removed quarterly as discovered. Tree sucker greater than 6” in diameter will be removed by the City of Chino Hills tree contractor.
