Allegheny County Training Program RFP

If your company enjoys doing good in the community, this training program RFP is for you! Partner4Work, a workforce development organization in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County, is seeking proposals for a firm to identify training programs that will provide job seekers with recognized credentials that result in employment. Also, respondents will focus on serving one of three groups: young adults age 18-24, adults age 18 and older, or dislocated workers.

Partner4Work hopes to establish and strengthen collaborative partnerships between training programs, workforce development providers, and employers. Programs suggested in the training program RFP must have committed partners who will refer participants to training and provide additional services.

The programs proposed by respondents should also have employers who are willing to provide full-time employment once participants complete training. In addition, bidding organizations should include training programs in industries that match the High Priority Occupation list in Allegheny County:

  1. Construction
  2. Financial Services
  3. Transportation/Logistics
  4. Manufacturing 
  5. Healthcare 
  6. Information Technology/STEM 
  7. Public Sector
  8. Transportation 
  9. Retail & Hospitality

Submission Timeline

Potential contractors should address all questions or requests for additional information in writing to rfp@partner4work.org by September 30, 2020, no later than 5:00 PM EST. Responses must be received by Monday, October 12, 2020 at 9:00 AM EST via email at rfp@partner4work.org. When submitting, applicants should address the email subject line as “Pipeline Project [Organization name].”

After a winning bidder is selected, the initial funding for this training program RFP will be awarded for eight months. The award will be provided from November 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021. Click here for more information.
