The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) NAO is seeking a small business capable of providing hydraulic upkeep and dredging for the Hoskins Creek channel. Additionally, the vendor will need to transport material by pipeline within the confined upland placement site, as shown in the drawings and contract specifications, and minor site work of the confined upland placement site.

Scope of Work

Dredging will include all of the authorized channels to a depth of -11 feet (meaning low water) and including one (1) foot of acceptable over depth. Eventually, the confined upland placement site will require clearing and grubbing within the inner cell. In addition to grading within the inner cell and promoting the proper flow of dredge material to the spillbox, the contractor will need to determine the extent of repairs necessary to meet the safety standards within the RFP.

The period of performance to complete the work will be 300 days from Notice to Proceed. All time-of-year restrictions are as follows:

• All dredging work will be subject to a time-of-year restriction from February 15 through June 30. Also, no dredging is to occur during this time period.
• All work that affects the removal of trees will be subject to a time-of-year restriction from April 1 to November 15; contractors should schedule any tree trimming or removal activity around this time period.
• Any dredging operations occurring between July 1 and October 31 of any given year will require monitoring of the water quality for dissolved oxygen.
